Report from Trevor Goodson @cousintrevvv

This past weekend 33 middle school programs from across Kentucky
came together to battle it out for a state championship. For the second time in three years,
a middle school that feeds into a 12th region high school comes
away as the champion. Southern Pulaski Middle out of Somerset took
down Noe Middle School out of Louisville in a very instense and high
level championship. There were several players from across the state
that will go on to be college basketball players; here we get our first look
at many of the best players in the 2019 class and younger.

All Tournament Team –
Jolene Ballard – Crosby
Kiara Pearl – Noe
Makayla Kinnard – Noe
Raquael Reese – CAL
Regi Ciundiff – Southern Pulaski
Kennedy Harris – Southern Pulaski (MVP)
Leslie Stewart – Dorton
Haley Southernland – Casey

Evals – Over 25 – 2019-2022 in our database –

Kiara Pearl, 5’9 Guard, Noe Middle (Louisville, KY) – We last evaluated Pearl at Marietta TOC where she was playing up in age and was always one of, if not the best player on the floor. Watching Kiara dominate at her age group just confirmed my previous opinons of her. She is well on her way to being one of the best players in the 2019 class, as she has the complete package offensively and can score from anywhere on the floor. Needs to be a little more disciplined defensively but other than that, I don’t see any glaring weaknesses in her game

Kennedy Harris, 5’7 Guard, Southern Pulaski Middle (Somerset, KY) – Kennedy was awarded Tournament MVP after leading her team to a championship win. Harris can score from anywhere on the floor. Her range extends well beyond the 3pt line. She has tight handles and a quick first step that allow her to get to the rim. High IQ. High Motor. BCS prospect.
