Bolingbrook, IL – Despite the so called boycott by Power 5 coaches and some of the smaller conferences, tons of talented D-1 caliber players loaded the gym at Bolingbrook HS for the 1st annual InsiderExposure.com Fall Slam.

Our own Sorden Davis takes a look at many of the players in the event and gives us his “quick hitters”.

IE FALL SLAM 2016 EVALS

Ty Battle – 2017 – Plainfield, IL, Oswego East – Good hands and can finish in traffic. She has a nice size, hits the baseline jumper, can open up to locate open man and make the pass from the post. D1 prospect.

Nasia Brown – 2018 – Bolingbrook IL, Bolingbrook HS – 6’5” – Legit 6’5” but not very mobile. Keeps the ball high and strong enough to catch the ball high and flip/tip it into the basket.

Kennedy Collins – 2017 – Bolingbrook, IL, Plainfield East HS – 5’7” – Tough & scrappy defender. Almost dominating.

Kierra Crockett – 2017 – Farmington Hills, MI, North Farmington – 5’11” – Can draw foul with hesitation shot fake in the lane, incredible jumper who can go up and get the rebound.

Cheyenne Cunningham – 2017 – Jackson, TN, Southside – 5’8” – Athletic defender that has the ability to stop the ball in transition.

Talia Edwards – 2017 – Bolingbrook, IL, Bolingbrook HS – 5’11” – Decent defender under the basket.

Cymone Goodrich – 2017 – Matteson, IL, Southshore – Hustler who gets rebounds, stats come on second effort of play. D1 Prospect. – Committed to Kansas State – JM

Errin Hodges – 2017 – Evansville, IN, Evansville Central – 6’0” – She is a dog. Can get the rebound and go coast to coast and get the “and 1”. Has a nice shot. There was one play where she got the offensive rebound did a spin move to the other side of the rim and despite the missed the put back, it was a super impressive move. D1 prospect.

Kyra Hogan – 2017 – Louisville, KY, Louisville Male – 6’0” – Defends the rim and runs the floor looking for the clean-up put back. Keep this one on your radar.

Raven Hughes – 2017 – Normal, IL, University High – 5’11” – Can score on the blocks. Had a play where she got the steal and made the go ahead pass that lead to a score. D1 prospect.

Nicole Johanson – 2017 – Herschel, IL, Herschel HS – 6’5” – Gets a lot of blocks. D1 Prospect.

Laurel Kucharski – 2017 – Lockport, IL, Lockport Township – 5’9” – Long, Gets in good position for rebounds and boxes out, can shoot the three (only needs a brief second, off screen), and has solid fundamentals. High Academic.

Alexis Marin – 2017 – Romeoville, IL, Romeoville HS – 5’5” – Can handle ball pressure, decent on ball defender. Must improve decision making and passes can get wild at times. High Academic. D1 Prospect.

J’Lyn Martin – 2017 – Lexington, KY, Bryan Station – 5’6” – Patient enough to work the defense and pick attack spots. D2 Prospect/Juco.

Shannon O’Donnell – 2017 – Lemont, IL, Lemont HS – 5’8” – Long and fundamentally sound. High Academic.

Lota Onua – 2017 – Bolingbrook, IL, Plainfield East HS – 5’10” – Very athletic but raw…increased skill set enhances ability. Got a great recovery block on a shot in transition. D1 Prospect.

Jada Owens – 2017 – Louisville, KY, Louisville Male – 5’11” – Versatile guard with a mid-range shot. Ray Allen type and pushes the ball well. D1 Prospect.

Olivia Pepperman -2017 – Lexington, KY – 5’11” – Skilled, gets to the rim & line, athletic enough to defend. D1 Prospect.

Kennedy Perry – 2017 – Chicago, IL, Harlan – Can take you off the dribble to the basket. D1 Prospect

Janelle Randle – 2017 – St. Louis, MO, County Tech – Attacks the basket from the wing and gets rebounds, there was a play where she got the rebound went coast to coast got blocked then got the offensive rebound and missed the put back, shows signs of fight. 

Sydney Schultz – 2017 – Aurora, IL, Oswego East – Finishes at the rim through contact, makes free throws, plays the post. D1 Prospect. – Committed to Missouri State -JM

Vinisha Sherrod – 2017 – W – nice ball handles and can get to rim. D1 Prospect. – Committed to Depaul -JM

Leah Sims – 2017 – Chicago, IL, Southshore – Can play with back to the basket, deep shooting range, consistent shooter, smart enough to push the ball in transition but wait for teammates if there isn’t a scoring opportunity, can get steals. D1 Prospect.

Ellie Stevens – 2017 – Bloomington, IL, Bloomington Central Catholic – 6’0” – Raw but keeps it simple.

Porscha Sydnor – 2017 – Chicago, IL, Morgan Park HS – Can pass in traffic and can break defender down off of the dribble.

Jnaya Walker – 2017 – Bolingbrook, IL, Bolingbrook HS – Draws a lot of fouls on shot, usually makes free throws, “and 1” waiting to happen. Has aggression. Solid free throw shooter who got to the line and made clutch free-throws late.

Zenoviah Walker – 2017 – Danville, KY, Danville – 5’4” – Can hit the three, can finish in transition….juco/NAIA prospect

Kennedy Weigt – 2017 – Bourbonnais, IL, Bourbonnais HS – 5’7” – Scrappy defender who doesn’t back down. Lights out shooter that has a deep range and a step back jump shot. Looks like a much better shooting version of Jason Williams (Marshall/Florida Gators) when she really gets going. Passes on a zip line. High Academic. 3.2 GPA and 23 ACT. D1 Prospect.

Myra Williams – 2017 – Pontiac, MI, Waterford Mott – 5’11” – A slasher. D2 Prospect.

Victoria Wright – 2017 – Detroit, MI, Renaissance – 5’9” – A strong shooter (particularly from three) who can defend multiple positions. D2 Prospect.

Dani Ahloborn – 2018 – Peotone, IL, Peotone HS – 5’9” – Confident passer who will push in transition.

Mikayla Brandon – 2018 – Bourbonnais, IL, Bradley Bourbonnais – 6’1” – Athletic player but must improve footwork. Came out to the wing (from the post) to block a shot and made run out lay ups. D1 Prospect.

Jessica Bicknell – 2018 – Saginaw, MI, Saginaw Heritage – 5’8” – Good defender with the reaction time of a bunny.

Grayson Cochran – 2018 – Three point shooter who drove the lane and got own misses.

Akshea Conway – 2018 – Bolingbrook, IL, Bolingbrook HS – 6’0” – Long and doesn’t shy away from contact. Establishes post presence offensively.

Summer Cramer – 2018 – Watseka, IL, Watseka Community – 5’7” – Good strong passer, good shot selection, good handles, and has the ability to take over a game. D1 prospect.

Kaitlyn Davidson – 2018 – Indianapolis, IN, Lawrence North – 5’10” – Doesn’t give up on the play after the turnover. Has good hands and will call for the ball.

Janara Flower – 2018 – Southfield, MI, Walled Lake Western – 5’9” – Has the ability to steal the ball from the opposing PG at the top of the key and will go the other way and attack the basket to get to the line. Must use proper challenge hand when going for the steal.

Katlyn Gilbert – 2018 – Indianapolis, IN, Heritage Christian – 5’11” – An athletic scorer and good passer who gets into the lane well, she is very scrapper and will apply pressure, she will grab the rebound and go. – Committed to Notre Dame -JM

Allison Gill – 2018 – St. Louis, MO, John Burrough – 6’1” – Boxes out, comfortable in screen & roll situations, nice mid-range jump shot, made an impressive baseline wrap around pass. D1 Prospect.

Gretchen Graf – 2018 – St. Louis, MO, Nerix Hall – 6’1” – Good passing big, good hands, good footwork, funny shooting form. D1 Prospect.

Hadassah Harris – 2018 – Muncie, IN, Heritage Christian – 5’6” – Has a nice shot and quick enough to get the steal from behind.

Jaida Hampton – 2018 – Lansing, MI, East Lansing HS – 5’10” – Very strong. Has a wild ball handle. Protects the ball but needs to improve foot work, will fight a bigger post for the rebound, made a good block to prevent the transition bucket.

Sade Hudson – 2018 – Memphis, TN, Trezevant – 5’8” – Give her the ball and your assist totals will sky rocket. Gets the rebound and looks to push up the floor. Can carry a team’s scoring load on her own back. D1 Prospect.

Nadege Jean – 2018 – Richton Park, IL, Rich South – Gets multiple blocks, athletic enough to get rebound (loose ball) off of block shots, gets to the foul line a lot must make free throws. D1 Prospect.

Jalynn Landversicht – 2018 – Nicholasville, KY, East Jessamine – 6’0” – Long, active hands on the defensive end will lead to a forced turnover. Decent shooter but must improve. D1 Prospect.

Ellie Mackay – 2018 – Novi, MI, Novi HS – 5’6” – Will attack the basket and get to the line. D2 Prospect.

Maxine Moore – 2018 – Farmington Hills, MI, Detroit Country Day – 6’0” – Will shoot the three, keeps the ball high, has good moves but must make open looks they create.

Sonya Morris – 2018 – St. Louis, MO, Incarnate Word – 5’8” – Pure shooter, can score from any position on the floor (inside/out), good vision to go with her good passing ability. Had an impressive play where she made the go ahead pass to a post on the break where other players would’ve taken extra dribbles. D1 Prospect.

Myriah Noodel-Haywood – 2018 – Belleville, IL,Edwardsville – 6’0” – Good hands, can catch & finish in traffic, can split defenders off the dribble. D1 Prospect.

Aazhenii Nye – 2018 – East Lansing, MI, East Lansing HS – 5’8” – Has good moves to get by the off balanced defender.

Lasha Petree – 2018 – Canton, MI, Arbor Prep Academy – 6’0” – Long, will challenge shot for block, can knock down three and not afraid to shoot it. Has a nice rip through, can finish at the rim through contact, and make free throw. Keeps head on a swivel defensively and boxes out. D1 Prospect.

Taylor Robinson – 2018 – Bolingbrook, IL, Bolingbrook HS – 5’9” – A player to keep on your radar. D2 Prospect.

KK Rodriguez – 2018 – St. Louis, MO, Webster – 5’8” – Patient, rebounding guard, can defend up the floor, step in mid-range shooter, makes mid-range shots regularly. D1 Prospect.

Jahari Smith – 2018 – Bolingbrook, IL, Bolingbrook HS – 6’2” – Missed a lot of bunnies early. But has good moves to get open and create separation. D1 Prospect.

Gabby Smith – 2018 – Bolingbrook, IL, Bolingbrook HS – 5’10” Good court vision & passing, big shot taker. D1 Prospect.

Jasmine Stewart – 2018 – Bourbonnais, IL, Kankakee Trinity Academy – 6’1” – Nice size but must improve footwork in the post.

Mira Tilstra – 2018 – Gilman, IL, Iroquois West HS – Big wing, does a lot of little things, keep on radar.

Sydney Tucker – 2018 – Anderson, IN, Frankton HS – 5’7” – Finishes transition lay ups in traffic.

Brittany Williams – 2018 – Calumet City, IL, Harlan – Gets rebounds and is looking to advance the ball up court. D1 Prospect.

Erin Willis – 2018 – Bolingbrook, IL, Nequa Valley HS – 5’5” – Finishes at the rim with contact, makes big free throws when needed, fundamentally  sound, won’t hurt your  team, got a block in transition.

Daijahnay Winston – 2018 – Calumet City, IL, Harlan – Has three point shooting range, good defensive instincts.

Alison Berg – 2019 – Bourbonnais, IL, Bishop Macnamara – 6’1” – Can shoot free throws well but must improve on fighting for rebounding position.

Shelby Case – 2019 – McCordsville, IL, Heritage Christian – Has a good post presence but needs to get stronger. Fights for post position on the block and sets good screens. Got a rebound, kept the ball high and went back up for the put back without taking an extra dribble.

Alyssa Carzares – 2019 – Bolingbrook, IL, Bolingbrook HS – 5’11” – Catches the ball at the elbow and can score from the pinch post or put the ball on the floor and attack the basket.

Tiaira Earnest – 2019 – Detroit, MI, Detroit Mumford – 5’2” – A leader from the PG position on both ends of the floor; got the steal then imitated the fast break where she got the assist on the other end. Also has a nice shooting range.

Payton Grvevic – 2019 – Homer Glen, IL, Lockport Township – 5’7” – Solid on ball defender. High Academic.

Lilly Hatton – 2019 – Georgetown, IN, North Harrison – 6’1” – Works down low in the paint, able to replace and use post moves, comes out to play perimeter defense, blocks well but must work on ability to defend in the post.

Destyne Jackson – 2019 – Lexington, KY, Henry Clay – 5’9” – Gritty defender who will apply pressure and force turnovers.  Finishes in transition.

Kynadi Kuykendodll – 2019 –  Memphis, TN, Memphis Central – 5’7” – Can get in the paint and score, floor general who commands control of the team & game, doesn’t give up defensively, and can shoot the three. Will get in to lane, draw the foul and get to the line. High Academic. D1 Prospect.

Zada Lacy – 2019 – Grand Blanc, MI Grand Blanc – 5’8” – Her hustle forces a lot of turnovers.

Keyanna “Ki Ki” Logan – 2019 – Cordova, TN, Bolton – 5’4” – Gets to the basket quickly, very fast athletic guard.

Ariel McElroy – 2019 – Bolingrook, IL, Bolingbrook HS – 5’7” – Her passing leads to assists and trips to the foul line, can reliably knock down open shots, quick enough to rip the ball from PG. Will go for the loose ball or rebound and immediately go on the attack. High academic. 3.8 GPA. D1 Prospect.

Kellen McLeod – 2019 – Plainfield, IL, Joliet Catholic Academy – 5’9” – Doesn’t give up on the play. High Academic.

Annie Nelson – 2019 – Danville, IL, Bismark-Henning – 5’6” – Don’t leave open, she will make the shot. Has a nice floater.

Ryann Ogarek – 2019 – Joliet, IL, Providence Catholic – 5’9” – Slasher who gets to the basket and will get to the foul line, solid defensive and rebounding capacity. High Academic.

Riley Ott – 2019 – LaPorte, IN, LaPorte HS – 5’6” – Gets into the teeth of the defense. Gave up a steal but hustled back on defense to get the block to prevent the easy transition basket.

Anaya Peoples – 2019 – Danville, IL Schlarman Academy – 5’10” – Is a good passer with active hands on the defensive end. Will beat the defense back in transition for the layup, will also attack the paint in transition and find the open man for the kick out pass. Major D-1 prospect

Mahrianna Petree – 2019 – Canton, MI, Arbor Prep Academy – 5’11” – Runs the floor well and finishes in transition. Very vocal on the floor and has high energy.

Kaylah Rainey – 2019 – Shiloh, IL, Belleville East – 5’6” – Crisp passer, went baseline from deep corner and finished strong at the rim, solid on ball defender, and can knock down the open three.

Johnia Steele – 2019 – Redford Charter Township, MI, Redford Union – 6’2” – Defends the paint and has a controlled dominance of the offense. Rebounds and turns to look to advance the ball to the open man, can provide big buckets on the offensive end. D1 Prospect.

Destiny Strother – 2019 – Flint, MI, Flint Carman Ainsworth – 5’9” – Attacks the rim in transition but must improve on makes and defensively can force turnovers in the press situations. Volume scorer.

Annie Tate – 2019 – St. Charle, IL, St. Charles North – 5’10” – Fights for position on the block, gets rebounds, and gets a lot of cleanup put back scoring opportunities.

Jada Thorpe – 2019 – Chicago, IL, North Lawndale HS – 5’8” – Active defender. Smooth handles and can stroke the 3. D1 Prospect.

Asaria Turman – 2019 – Ypsilanti, MI, Ann Arbor Pioneer – 6’0” – Good rebounder, must take time when working to score.

Taylor Williams – 2019 – New Baltimore, MI, Macomb Dakota – 6’1” – Post – Finishes and makes free throws. Weak rebounder, get rebounds because of height advantage but must box out.

Kyrstin Bond – 2020 – Fishers, IN, Greenfield Central – 5’7” – She is a clean-up scorer who looks for the rebound and put backs, will be in the right place. She can penetrate and kick.  Big time shooter. 

Gabrielle “Gabby” Elliot – 2020 – Detroit, MI, Detroit Edison – 5’11” – Has a quick first step and change of direction; Got the steal went to the basket in attack mode avoided the defend and finished the play. Can knock down the baseline jumper (stop & pop) off the dribble. Volume scorer.

Cheyenne McEvans – 2020 – Southfield, MI, Southfield A&T – 5’7” – A leader on the floor who will direct traffic, also get from the top of the key to the rim with ease, and defensively can force turnovers in the press situations.

Aaliyah McQueen – 2020 – Flint, MI, Goodrich HS – 5’7” – Has ability to get into the passing lane and disrupt flow. Defends the entire floor, will get the steal and push the ball looking to score, can go coast to coast easily.

Jenn Sotello – 2020 – Bourbonnais, IL, Kankakee Trinity Academy – Good passer who pushes the ball in transition.

Morgan Thompson – 2020 – Morthville, MI, Northville – 6’2” – Post – Doesn’t jump and got blocked by a much smaller player but does look to score.

Treasure Thompson – 2020 – Romeville, IL, Lockport HS – 6’2” – Runs the floor, looks to score, and keeps the ball high.

Daija Tyson – 2020 – Detroit, MI, Detroit Edison – 5’2” –  Good passer out of the screen and roll, good vision. Took over the game when it got close late, Involved in all scoring plays, can pass in traffic, runs the floor well. Understands how to score and set teammates up. Can score in bunches. D1 Prospect.

Katelyn Young – 2020 – Oakwood, IL, Oakwood Jr. High – 6’0” – Has good hands and runs the floor well but must box out.

Kristian Young – 2020 – Indianapolis, IN, Lawrence North – 5’5” – Small rebounding guard with playmaker ability.  Smart player with good passing and driving ability. 

Genesis Castro – 2021 – Avon,IN, Avon Middle School – 5’4” – Good passer, can shoot the step back off the dribble, has a nice spin move out of defensive pressure, shot is Steph Curry wet. Will pull up jumper from deep, more makes than misses. D1 Prospect.

Emaia O’Brien – 2021 – Detroit, MI, Chandler Park Academy – 5’0” – Made a big three to give team the lead, grabbed defensive rebound and took it to the basket.

Zakia Rasheed – 2021 – Avon, IN, Avon South Middle – 5’7” – Fearless but a little bit out of control. Will force you into a turnover but must not follow up with one of her own. Will shoot from deep but must consistently make.

Sydney Sloan – 2021 – Greenwood, IN, Center Grove Middle – 5’8” – Goes for steals, solid help defender, plays in the low post.
