2020 WNBA Mock Draft

Satou Sabally - Women's Basketball - University of Oregon Athletics

Satou Sabally is our favorite player in the draft.

There’s definitely some mock drafts in which Sabally goes #2 and I don’t disagree that she’s the 2nd most talented player in this draft and will potentially turn out to be the best pro in this class. That said, I think teams have to pick with fans in mind to some extent and I just don’t see Cox slipping past the hometown Wings. Carter is incredible but with Atlanta just signing Courtney Wiliams, how much playing time will she be able to get there?

I’m not sure anyone outside the top 8 will stick in the WNBA this season and we all know 2nd and 3rd round picks are mainly favors and other posturing to help players get better overseas deals or as a favor to an agent, etc. Anything past the mid 2nd round is a total guess, it’s highly unlikely that most of these players will make a WNBA roster anyway.
