This past weekend Insider Exposure held their 1st Annual HS All-Star Game and Middle School Showcase.  While the seniors certainly did not disappoint in the day’s final marquee game, it was the middle school ballers who stole the show.

Some of the top middle school players from the event –

2020

Caitlin McGee – Landmark MS – 6’1 F – Long athletic forward, similar skills to a young LaDazhia Williams.  Great finisher in transition and really runs the floor well.  Going to be a major prospect in her class in Florida.

Amari Wright – Kernan MS – 5’7 PG – PG with good quickness and handles, shot the ball really well on Sunday.  Good size for a player her age.  One of the better 2020 prospects in the greater Jacksonville area.

Britany Range – Lakeside MS – 5’10 SG – Showed how good her range really is.  Went 8 for 8 from 3 point range on her way to winning the MVP of the 11:30 MS game.  Has great size for a 2 guard at her age and a good understanding of what a good shot is.

Kali Barber – East Lake MS – 5’5 CG – Came into the game as an unknown and really made a name for herself as the MVP for her group in the 10am MS game.  She’s got a slender athletic build and great savvy and court awareness for a player her age.  Handles well and shoots it well.

Brianna Ellis – Calvary Christian – 5’8 CG – Clearly the best prospect and player in the MS portion of the event.  Her motor and strength are completely unmatched and she absolutely dominated the competition.  Maybe one of the top prospects nationally in 2020.  Will need to strengthen her perimeter shooting as she moves into high school.

2021

Jasmine Peaks – Covenant Christian – 5’6 PG – Without question the top 2021 player in the event and easily the best handles and court vision.  She’s a great passer who makes everyone around her better.  Going to be a major national level prospect in this class.

Jordan Rosiers – Florida High – 5’6 CG – One of the better shooters in the event, Rosiers has a maturity about her game.  Her basketball IQ is advanced for her age and she’s always going to be able to find ways to contribute when her scoring isn’t there.

2022

Kailyn Gilbert – Rampello – 5’4 CG – Going to be one of the top prospects in the state in this class.  Gilbert was also an unknown playing in the 10am game.  She was clearly the best player on the winning team and it was her defense that lead to many easy baskets for her group.  She’s a good finisher with great athleticism and she show only get better with age.
